        Paul B. Thompson, is the Minister to our congregation. This church is a place where God is worshipped, praised and served. The church has a history that crosses many generations with many stories that deserve to be told.
    It is a story of how God in Jesus Christ is reconciling the world unto himself. This story is still the same tried and true one - Jesus Christ came into the world to give life to broken people. He does this through the infinite love of a God who created us as His own. He does this through His on-going presence with us in the power of God’s Spirit that resides in the hearts of all of His people. He does this by giving us His body and His blood that makes all things new when we receive Him by faith.  We still love to tell the old, old story of God’s redeeming love.


    Imagine a Place

    Can you imagine a place in which when you were there you felt the presence of God?  It would necessarily be a place of warmth and hospitality, where it didn't matter what you looked like, or where you were from, because all God's children are welcomed by God.  It would be a place in which people of all ages were present, because God loves the old and the young and every one in between.  It would be a place that cared about every aspect of who you were, and helped you physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.  It would be a place that took seriously the ways that God speaks and honors the Word God gives us. Can you imagine such a place?  Welcome to Mills River United Methodist Church.  In these pages are pictured the people who are striving to be such a place.  We welcome you!
